NMR contract analysis

MCAT offers contract NMR analysis services for customers in research and industry who require reliable, high-resolution spectra – without their own measuring equipment or for temporary capacity requirements. We handle sample preparation, perform measurements under defined conditions, and provide the spectra in digital format.

Upon request, we also provide interpretations and reports, e.g., for structure elucidation or impurity testing. The NMR data are suitable for both internal quality control and scientific publications. Our customers value the short turnaround time, expertly sound evaluation, and discreet handling.

Analyses are performed on a high-resolution NMR spectrometer in our in-house laboratory. Standard nuclei such as ^1H and ^13C are available, and others are available upon request. Measurements are performed under controlled conditions and with high repeatability. Samples can be submitted as solvent samples or as solids – we will work with you to determine the optimal sample form.

We perform 1D and 2D NMR experiments, such as 1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HSQC, or HMBC, as standard. The choice of method depends on the task at hand—whether it’s structure elucidation, purity testing, or verification of a reaction product. Experiments to identify minor components or comparative measurements are also possible. We discuss special requirements individually in advance.

Our prices depend on the type of measurement, the number of samples, and the desired scope of analysis. An overview of typical services and costs can be found in our current price list (PDF). We offer customized rates for larger sample volumes or specific requirements.

For an NMR analysis, simply send us a brief inquiry via email or contact form – preferably stating the desired measurement type, sample volume, and objective. After consultation, you will receive a suitable quote. You then send us your sample, we perform the measurement, and transmit the results digitally – supplemented with an analysis or report if required. Confidentiality (e.g., via NDA) is also possible, of course.
